Anotace: Osseointegrated dental implants have achieved a highZobrazit více »
technology innovation level during the last 50 years. The
role of surface treatment of any dental implant was mostly
studied from the biocompatibility point of view. The surface
roughness is one of the most important factors influencing the
value of friction coefficient. Nevertheless it is possible to
reach different friction coefficients for the same roughness
parameter.
In the literature, the phase of screwing the implant into
the bone is generally ignored during finite element method
(FEM) analyses. The models do not take the primary stress
due to the preload into consideration. According to the
authors’ knowledge, the only exception is a study by Lang
et al. (2003). They studied the relation between insertion
torque of the abutment and its preload.
The aim of the following numerical analysis is to prove
the role of material properties and friction in bone –
implant interface on the preload of the implant.
